Parent Information

Schoology and PowerSchool

There are two ways of accessing your child’s school information but each option is a bit different.

Schoology: Your child’s online classroom and backpack combined. It’s where teachers post assignments, share class materials, and communicate with students. As a parent, you can regularly check Schoology to see your child’s grades, upcoming assignments, and what they’re learning in class. This is your best tool for staying connected to your child’s daily learning.

PowerSchool: Your child’s official school record book. This is where you’ll see their final grades, attendance, report cards, and schedule. It’s the system the school uses to keep track of all the important information about your child’s academic progress.

If you have trouble accessing either website, please contact computer@rva.org for help.

Off-continent policy and requests

If both parents plan to be off the continent of Africa for any length of time while your student attends RVA, please read our policy and request advance approval.

Grievance policy

RVA is committed to providing a ministry environment characterized by mutual respect for all members. Our grievance policy is designed to assist members of the RVA community (students, parents, staff members, and leadership) in resolving conflicts or disagreements.
